TRAN THI BICH NGOC

Tran Thi Bich Ngoc graduated from the directing department of Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema. A veteran in Vietnamese film industry with 20 years of experience, Ngoc used to work in big scale international production in Viet Nam such as Quiet American (Phillip Noyce), Vertical ray of the Sun (Tran Anh Hung), Beautiful Country (Hans Peter Moland). She has produced many successful entertaining movies for Vietnamese market, as well as acclaimed art house independent movies from director such as Phan Dang Di “Big father, small father & other stories…” (Berlinale competition 2015), Nguyễn Phương Anh “The Third Wife” (Torronto IFF 2018), Bui Thac Chuyen “Glorious Ashes” (Tokyo competition 2022). Ngoc is co-founder of Autumn Meeting since 2013, a non-profit organization to support young film-makers in Viet Nam & the region. In 2019, she is recognized by Forbes as one of the top 50 most influential woman in Viet Nam.

SON PHAN

Son has more than 30 years experience in ICT consulting, business development, technical operation management, channel operation management and general management. He has worked with customers in various industry segments including Public Sector, Telco, FSI, Manufacturing, Education, Real Estate – Construction – Hospitality, Education, Healthcare and Transportation. Joining FPT in 2017 as CTO for FPT Information System (FPT IS, a member of FPT Corporation). From 2019, he got the new assignment as CBDO for FPT IS to develop the new business opportunities for future growths in new areas including Digital Industries and Smart Real Estate/ Smart City. He is also the Managing Director of Business Consulting & Integrated Solutions – BCIS under FPT IS to accelerate Digital Transformation in different sectors through consulting capabilities. Prior to FPT Information System, Son worked for multiple MNCs and local companies such as Simitri Group, Cisco, Equant (now Orange Business Services), Vietsovpetro, Tradivico-IBC and T&C in various roles. Son used to be Country Manager, Partner Operation Manager, CTO for Cisco Systems Vietnam during 15 years. He regularly speaks at public forums and events on future technology trends and opportunities including Digital Transformation, Smart Cities/ Real Estate, 4IR/ Industry 4.0. He has been working closely with government, private and NGO organizations to explore and accelerate the strategic partnerships between digital technology ecosystem and the organizations for national, industry and enterprise digital transformational initiatives. Son holds a bachelor of computer science from HCMC Polytechnic and studied communications at Vietnam Military Technology Academy. PHIL TRAN

Phil Tran is a retired businessman after he exited Glass Egg Digital Media in May of 2022. A self confess start up junkie, he started over a dozen businesses during his 30 years in Vietnam. From a family close to the Arts in Vietnam, in 1940 his grandfather opened the first Cải Lương troupe in Ha Noi. The Tố Như theater occupied the main corner of Hang Bac in the old quarter of Hanoi and was billed as Tiếng Chuông Vàng Thủ Đô. Tố Như dissolved in 1946 due to the outbreak of the first Indochina war while performing in Hai Phòng. Tố Như would reinvent itself in Saigon as Kim Chung in 1954 and remain relevant if not dominant until 1975. In 1950 his family made the first feature film in Vietnam, Kiếp Hoa. The movie was shot by a crew from Hong Kong. The movie was a block buster and gained fame for many of the actors and actresses and their descendants to this day.

PHAN GIA NHAT LINH

Phan Gia Nhat Linh (1979) studied at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts from 2007 to 2010. His debut feature Em La Ba Noi Cua Anh (Sweet 20) (2015) was a big success when it reached US$ 4.8M and became the number one Top Box Office in Vietnamese film history in 2015. He’s also known for directing Co Gai Den Tu Hom Qua (The Girl From Yesterday) (2017), Trang Ti (2022), and for producing the movie Tiec Trang Mau (Blood Moon Party) (2020). His latest feature film is Em va Trinh, the highest budget biopic in Vietnam about one of the greatest Vietnamese composers, Trinh Cong Son.

Mr. Kenneth Katz serves as Managing Director & Head of Asia Investments at TAU Investment Management. He brings 18 years of private equity and direct investment experience in control, minority, turnaround and distress situations, as well as senior executive roles in portfolio companies. Dedicating most of his investment career to global emerging markets, he has resided in Asia for 14 years and is currently based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining TAU, he served as the Executive Chairman and CEO of Global Beauty International, a private equity-owned retail business with a pan-Asian presence in 14 countries. Prior to Lazard, he joined Emerging Markets Partnership, manager of the AIG Infrastructure Funds, with $6 billion under management. While based in Singapore with EMP, he led Asia deal teams in Southeast Asia, Korea, India and China originating, executing and managing investments across sectors including power generation, oil & gas, transportation & logistics, energy distribution, telecommunications, heavy manufacturing and agribusiness. He also had responsibilities for regional investor relations and investor reporting. Before joining EMP, he spearheaded and managed the Asia Pacific direct investment business for Edison Capital as its Singapore-based Head of Asia Pacific Investments. He launched the firm’s first Asian office and managed its direct investment team, originating and overseeing equity, quasi-equity, mezzanine and other structured investments across multiple industries including power generation, chemicals, telecommunications, water treatment and healthcare facilities. He was a member of Edison’s Global Investment Committee and also led regional reporting, administration, corporate compliance, and government relations functions. He began his investment career in commercial real estate principal investments at Weyerhaeuser Company, where he had responsibilities for a multi-state real estate portfolio. He has served on the board of directors of publicly listed firms in the United States and Hong Kong and on the boards of numerous private companies. He has also served as an Asia advisor for US-based multinationals. As a principal investor, he acquired, expanded and successfully exited from an Asia regional food manufacturing company. Geoffrey See is the co-founder of Pokoapp.xyz, a Y Combinator-backed startup connecting local payment rails to web3 infrastructure to enable payments for wallets, marketplaces, DApps and Games. In 2018-2019, Geoffrey was CSO and founding team member of a US$2.4B coincap L1 protocol. He also helped launch HgX, an MAS-licensed exchange that partially exited to Binance, and led technical implementation on Project Ubin, Singapore’s central bank experiment for cross-border payment settlement on blockchain rails.
