Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan is Dean of the School of Biotechnology (https://bt.hcmiu.edu.vn/en/) – International University (https://hcmiu.edu.vn/en/) – Vietnam National University of Hochiminh City (https://vnuhcm.edu.vn/). He is also Chair of the Department of Biotechnology (https://bt.hcmiu.edu.vn/en/about-us/depts/biotech/).

Research in Dr. Thuan’s Lab (http://crl.bio.hcmiu.edu.vn/) is focused on genomic reprogramming, embryonic stem (ES) cells and iPS cells, differentiation of embryo during the early development, germ cells, epigenetic reprogramming, transgenic animals, and regenerative biomedicine. Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan obtained his Ph.D. in the field of Biosystem Application in 2002 from Kobe University, Japan. Prior to coming to International University – VNU.HCM, Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan is Professor at Department of Animal Biotechnology, Konkuk University, Seoul, Korea (2007-2012). Before that. Dr. Thuan is a special research scientist at the Laboratory for genomic reprogramming, Center for Developmental Biology, RIKEN Institute, Japan, a world-class research institute in Developmental Biology (2002-2007). Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan is a founder and chairman of Asian Reproductive Biotechnology Society (ARBS, http://www.arbsociety.org/) from 2004-2013. Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan is referee for many scientific journals; Biology of Reproduction (USA), Reproduction (England), Theriogenology (USA), Developmental Biology (USA), Journal of Reproduction and Development (Japan). The Journal of Veterinary Medical Science (Japan), Human Reproduction (England), Fertility and Development (Australia), Development (England), Cloning and Stem cells (England), Cell cycle etc… He is a member of the International Embryo Transfer Society (IETS, USA), Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR, USA), Society of Reproduction and Development (JRD, Japan) and Asian Reproductive Biotechnology Society.

Sau khi tốt nghiệp cử nhân ngành Multimedia Design tại Swinburne University (Australia), Leo Dinh trở về và theo đuổi giấc mơ hoạt hình Việt Nam. Niềm đam mê hoạt hình không ngừng thôi thúc Leo Dinh và đội ngũ thực hiện các dự án phim hoạt hình của riêng mình. Tiêu biểu trong đó là phim hoạt hình ngắn Con Rồng Cháu Tiên: Chuyện Chưa Kể (2017); Dự án phim hoạt hình U Linh Tích Ký (2021); và gần đây nhất là series phim hoạt hình hợp tác cùng Thỏ Bảy Màu. Leo Dinh có hơn 12 năm kinh nghiệm sáng tạo và sản xuất các dự án Animation, Series hoạt hình cho khách hàng trong và ngoài nước. Ngoài ra anh còn là cố vấn cấp cao mảng hình ảnh & sáng tạo cho các công ty trong nước.

He has written over a hundred episodes of television, and his original ideas have been purchased by every major network including Netflix, Sony, HBO, FOX, NBC, CBS, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, Lifetime, and Hallmark.

His talent and expertise have also been shared with aspiring writers worldwide through programs such as the Sony TV Russian Writers Program, the California State University Communications Department, and the Escola de Series conference in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Rafael is the CEO and Co-founder of Vulcan Augmetics, a VN-based biotech research firm that develops advanced biosensor and assistive technology to help the 2 billion people the WHO estimates will need assistive technology by 2030.

Rafael has 11 years experience in management in a range of management positions before kicking off his journey at Vulcan. He has an MBA (Distinction) at Maastricht School of Management, is self taught in 3D design and manufacture, and is a published writer on entrepreneurship. He served as the Guest Lecturer and member of the Industry Advisory board at RMIT University Vietnam. Justin is a General Partner at Monk’s Hill Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage tech companies, primarily Series A, in Southeast Asia. He has over two decades of experience in Silicon Valley and in Asia as a founder, entrepreneur, and engineer of early-stage tech startups and global tech companies. Based in Vietnam, he has strong expertise in building world-class teams, fundraising, and operations.
In his career so far, he has helped his startups grow from zero revenue to more than US$50M in revenue before its exited. He has also built and led world-class engineering teams, recruiting from the likes of Google, Alibaba and eBay. He has helped raise over US$80 million across 10 rounds of financing for three start-ups in Silicon Valley, Shanghai and Vietnam.
Prior to MHV, he founded one of Asia’s leading game suppliers Aspect Gaming, which raised more than US$18 million in funding. Before that, Justin was the China CEO of StarCite, which
he helped transform from a dotcom consumer play into a thriving enterprise SaaS company, growing from zero to more than $50 million in revenue.
In his early career, Justin led a team of engineers at Silicon Gaming and served as the founding software engineer of Maximum Information, one of the earliest Internet acquisitions in that era. Justin studied engineering at the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. He is also a proud SEA turtle and foodie.

Tien Nguyen started his business life as an entrepreneur in Education Technology in 2010. After successfully exiting from his first startup, Tien emerged to found and manage 4 startups in Digital Loyalty Program, IT outsourcing, venture capital investment and strategy consulting. Two among them were fully exited with 20x valuation.

Tien received a fellowship from the Irish Government and studied Master of Strategic Management and Planning at University College Dublin, Ireland. He found 2 companies in England and Ireland while investing in ACT Venture Capital, a 400-million-euro venture fund supported by the EU. In 2017, Tien joined a team of 200 senior researchers to work on an intensive project “Strategic Urban Planning for Beijing in 2050” in Beijing, China. The program is supported by the Chinese Government and operated by TsingHua University, where Tien got an honour certificate in Chinese Business and Strategy. Together with professors from Shanghai Jiaotong and Tsinghua University, Tien found 3 companies in China in Steel 3D Printing, Professional Training and Internet of Things.

Based in London, Tien and his fund management team reach out to invest across Europe, America, China and South East Asia. The team focuses on ICT, Internet of Things, Hardware Development, Strategy Consulting and Regional Development. The investment from 400,000 to 2 million euros per deals. The expected return is 5x to 20x.
